I am a conservation biologist interested in exploring ecological patterns across scales to inform pragmatic and adaptable conservation practices. I have a particular interest in using advances in technology and open data to tackle difficult questions. I’m an avid user, and you can follow my current work on GitHub .

I recently joined the Department of Biosciences at Durham University (UK) as an Assistant Professor of Ecology. Watch this space for upcoming opportunities to work with me!

Before joining Durham University, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Center for Policy Research on Energy and the Environment (C-PREE) at Princeton University (USA), working with Prof David Wilcove to assess the effectiveness of different conservation strategies for recovering threatened species.

I completed my PhD at the University of Sheffield (UK), where I studied how loss and degradation of tropical forest impacts species’ ability to cope with global climate change. Before that, I worked at UNEP-WCMC (UK), mainly on the PREDICTS project, and I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge (UK).
